Brute in a TuTu!

The other day I saw a little girl wearing a pretty little TuTu.  I thought she was cute as a button…until she opened her mouth!!  She was the sweetest looking biggest little bully I had ever seen!!!!

The haiku was being written simultaneously…I knew the last line immediately “Brute in a TuTu!”

It made me wonder how many times things are not what they first appear to be!  So look with your heart and ears, as well as your eyes…and don’t judge a book by its cover!! 🙂

    1. Hi Dom! Haha…yes…I have met one or two 🙂 I am less shocked by the Chihuahua than I was by the little girl!! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! 🙂

  1. What a fun way to wrap up your daily insights. Hariod wins the most clever comment award. XD I had a smile from your haiku and a big laugh from his comment. Both of which I needed today. Thanks! 🙂

    1. Hey Kim…I’m so glad you do 🙂 I have not always been that we’ll received for the way my mind works! 🙂 I’m sure glad I wasn’t discouraged!! <3

    1. Hi Wendy…It was so crazy….I thought she the cutest little thing….and then she scared me!! That line just popped in my head!! Hopefully she will soften!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by <3

  2. I love this pic and haiku!! Did you know that today is National Dog Day? I call my dog a little bully all the time- he bullies me into giving him more treats, lol!! Hope your day has been a great one!

    1. Hi Julie…thank you! And I did not know it was National Dog Day…and my puppy was trying to tell me something all day!! I loved your post…and I’m just like you…countless pics of the same sky!! <3

  3. aH Lorrie what a funny, spiritual and profound post! I absolutely love the last line “Brute in a TuTu!”… appearances can be deceptive… in French we have a famous proverb that says : “l’habit ne fait pas le moine”, it means “clothes won’t make you a monk”, so I could paraphrase it: “a titu can’t turn a little monster into a graceful dancer”… 🙂
“things are not what they first appear to be! So look with your heart and ears, as well as your eyes…and don’t judge a book by its cover”… thank you for this crucial reminder!!! Appearances are very often like a trap… thank you my luminous friend for teaching us with humor about the only real thing that matters: the heart
(and it reminds me of Saint Exupery…
“One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye”°
    ONE HUNDRED HEARTS for you
    ♥etc 😉

    1. Thank you dear Fre’de’ric! I love the proverb, “clothes won’t make you a monk!” It is so true….I have many times been deceived by appearances dear one! But now I let my heart jusdge….”One see clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye,” (Saint Exupery) so, so true Much love to you…hope your day is filled with wonderful things your heart can see!! <3 <3

      1. Yes, but the proverb doesn’t work with YOU because your “outside” is as beautiful as your your “inside” I’ve found this quote by Coco Chanel: “Elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside”… it suits you very well!!!!!!!!! (but it doesn’t suit the little girl on her bike!!)
        xxoo

  4. I too love – Brute in a TuTu — perhaps the tutu gave her a sense of herself that is untrue! so funny (and sad) that you found a photo of a chiuaua (how on earth do you spell that?) in a tutu! I’d be so embarrassed by the apparel I’d act like a bully too methinks! 🙂

    1. 🙂 That’s really funny, Louise! Considering I danced in my first “tutu” (recital) at age 28….I fully understand!! Sending love and healing your way! <3
