Happy Halloween!  The Zentangle~Esque picture is my second attempt at the art form.  It really is a lot of fun, and quite relaxing!

Hope to get back to here on a more regular basis!  Miss you all 🙂

    1. Hello dearest Trini!! Thank you so much…it is fun to make the “doodles!” Happy Halloween to you too!! Have a super beautiful weekend dear soul sister!!! <3 <3 <3

      1. 🙂 You too lovely Lorrie!! 🙂 <3 <3 <3 I am going to the Singapore Writer's Festival this weekend! I am soooo excited!!! 🙂 🙂

  1. The Zentangle is beautiful and a little scary! So nice to hear from you Lorrie. 🙂 As you mentioned, Halloween is a crazy mix of spirit, fun, fear, feast and more. Happy Halloween! My treat is connecting with you today. 🙂

    1. Oooooooh Brad…better watch out…There just might be a trick!!! Only kidding…love the comment and so happy you think connecting with me is a treat!! The weird thing about the drawing is that area by the jaw that is all blacked out is right where all my pain was a few weeks back! Funny…maybe I drew it that way subconsciously! ! Hope all is really well in your world!! <3

      1. 🙂 Sounds like you’re processing feelings and energy. Things are looking up in my world. Several interesting job interviews. 🙂

I’ll watch for those spooky spells and magic tricks. I’m game! It is Halloween! Happy tricking!

  2. It’s so nice to read a post from you dearest Lorrie 🙂 congratulations for the beautiful piece of art, you’re very talented!!! What’s the “technique”??? And of course I just love the haiku… you know here in France Halloween does not exist, some years ago there was a commercial attempt to import it… but it finally was a failure, something very “artificial”. The “real” “fete” (it’s not a fete indeed) is “all Saints Day”, on November first… you can see chrysanthems everywhere in shops because the tradition is to go to cimeteries November 2sd to lay flowers at graves. However I don’t go to cimeteries and don’t lay flowers at graves, as my mother said, the best place for flowers is in a garden – and you can think of those who are gone way in your garden… so you see, it’s not as funny as your beautiful fete of Halloween (How funny for children!!!). Thank you for this beautiful post and much love to you! ♥♥

    1. Thank you dear Frédéric! ! I’m so happy you like it. 🙂 I start with either a shape…or my first one was words…and then it is “just doodle!” I have always doodled…especially while on the telephone. It is a free form art…no rules (at least my version of it) and it is (or can be) very meditative.

Thanks for the explanation of all Saints Day. I’m with you…I don’t visit cemeteries…Our loved ones are not there buried in the ground! I love what your Mom said…yes the best place for flowers is in the garden!!

Halloween here can be lots of fun!! I have always loved to make costumes!! 🙂 It is fun to go to parties and people show up and you have to guess who they are!!

Much love to you…I hope that ALL is well…in fact super!! 🙂 <3 <3

      1. “Our loved ones are not there buried in the ground”, I agree with you!!! Thanks for your explanations… I like “meditative” forms for art… ALL is…(slowly but surely) better and better, thanks to God and your prayers 🙂 I will mail you next week to tell you more. I wish we could celebrate Halloween with you, sure it would be much fun!! ♥♥

        1. 😉 I’m so happy Frédéric!! Yes…who knows ..One day we may get to celebrate Halloween together! ! I would make you the costume of a prince in full regalia!! Yes…that is what you will be! 🙂 (Have you ever thought that you were royalty in another life? I see you so clearly dressed this way)

Get some rest and have a wonderful weekend! <3 <3

          1. 🙂 🙂 No I haven’t!!!!!!!!! I wonder what kind of king (or queen…) I could have been 🙂 thank you so much for your ever conforting, kind and funny words ♥♥♥ take care!

  3. Happy Halloween to you too, sweet Lorrie. I sure hope you are feeling much better.
Hey, good for you. The zentangle is great. I myself have started sketching and drawing and watching a ton of youtube tutorials for mixed-media art. Stay tuned, because I’m going to work on one this weekend, and hopefully by Monday post it. YEAH!
Hope you have a great Halloween.
    🙂 <3

    1. I SIMPLY CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT!!! That is so great Staci 🙂 There’s something about making something with your hands. And it was a lot of fun to pair it with my writing 🙂 I am much better. ..Thank you for being so sweet 🙂 Happy Halloween to you…have a super weekend and loads of fun creating!! <3 <3

      1. UGH! I did what I thought I wanted to do last night. I don’t like it. So discouraging. I don’t think I’ll give up though. We’ll see. I’m so glad you’re better Lorrie. Hope you had a great Halloween.
        🙂 <3

        1. For me…I always start a project with an idea…but then something happens and it is like it starts to have a mind of its own! There have been many a project that I have said “it made itself!” So if I could offer any advice…it would be …become one with the piece…and cooperate…collaborate…let the art have its say. I think you will be surprised. And some of my best work has come out of things that I thought were complete disasters…paint spilled…something ripped. ..enamel jumped off…etc….

          Much love <3

  4. Many congratulations on your artwork here Lorrie; it’s most impressive.

Just as an aside, the last 5 or 6 times I have accessed your site here from email notifications it has been problematic. What happens is that my internet security software detects something it doesn’t like and freezes my computer whilst it takes a closer look. Then, after 10 seconds or so, I can enter your site without problems. This happened, as I say, 5 or 6 times over as many of your posts, and during which time I have switched to another security program – and yet it too acts similarly. I wonder, has anyone else commented to you about this issue Lorrie?

    Hariod. <3

    1. Thank you so much Hariod!! It was much fun making it.

I am sorry you are having trouble getting my site to load 🙁 🙁 I have not had anyone else tell me this…and I honestly would have no idea why it would happen! Maybe others will see this comment and tell us if it happens to them…or better yet…how to fix it! Hope all is super in your world!! <3

      1. I must say, it is a bit of a mystery Lorrie. I fairly regularly visit scores of WordPress sites and yet for some reason this issue occurs only here, and has done for a few weeks now. Coming back to comment again on this occasion I was granted immediate access, and so the issue only arises when first accessing your new posts from email notifications. I will let you know if it continues with your next post, and in the meantime let’s see if anyone else mentions it; like many of these strange technical things, it will probably just sort itself out in the wash! H <3

        1. They can make a person CRAZY!! Yes…I have found that any glitches I experience on WP usually do straighten out by themselves in a few days.

Thank you so much for always being such a wonderful supporter…I appreciate you so much! <3
