I didn’t notice I had a say until after the break-up of my 25 year marriage. I wish I had known sooner…..but I must not have been ready. Now, my Voice…..my Truth….are my most precious Friend. Lorrie, may I ask when you noticed?
Absolutely! I started to realize this truth…really understand it…3 years ago around my 50th birthday. It has been a wonderful learning experience ever since. I still have my moments when I may think “things are happening to me” or when I view others well being as more important than mine. But it has been liberating in ways I can’t begin to describe!! I wish you a weekend full of honoring what you have to say <3 <3
Hi Andy!! I wrote this about 2 weeks ago and when I read it this morning I said…Yes…This is the one!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by…have a great weekend! ! 🙂
As Brad says we must pay attention to our voice and choices… for we do have a say! Thank you for this thoughtful haiku… here November the first was incredibly sunny and mild… global warming helas… I suppose, you’re in my thought like a ray of sunshine… ♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡
Thank you my dear dear friend! Yes Frédéric. ..we do have a say…so I say let us all create a life full of light, love, compassion, and faith!!! I’m happy you had nice weather today…we woke to a cold snap of 60F! Freezing!! 😉 Much love to you!! <3 <3
So often we dismiss our own say in life as we adhere often to others ideas as we bend to conform.. It took many years to learn a little word and mean it.. We should listen to that voice more often…. Learning to please ourselves more as we learn to say YES to ourselves and learn to say No more often 🙂 <3 xxx Hugs
Ah! Conformity! Can’t say I love that word much 🙂 But I have done it more than I care to admit. And then there’s the wild child in me who rebelled greatly! ! Yes, Sue…the little voice is something I try very hard to listen to. And I don’t think the little voice is ever wrong…I think it always has our back! <3 <3
Thank you Mino…I so appreciate your words 🙂 And I’m happy you see a connection between the words and the photos. Hope your world is full of love and laughter! ! <3
Thanks Val!!! I think I have wondered on more than one occasion why this truth was so delayed…but then I remember that it is perfect timing…everything happens when, how, and where it is supposed to!!! Much love…much faith!! <3

Lorrie – You are my daily prayer, as I read your words. I adore you:)
You are so dear to me…your words just lit up my heart <3
Brilliant! Why?
Because its so true.
And its so you.
And me.
And so many women who came to see the truth in midlife and beyond.
🙂
