I can feel the fear and it makes me want to fly through the air to reach you

I know you my friend, and it hurts my heart that your world has been turned upside down

I wish to offer you comfort

To hold you while you cry

I will tell you that everything is going to be okay

I don’t always understand the why of our struggles

But I know to the very core of my soul that God understands

And, my dear friend, I also know that your soul is a very good one

You understand this life and you strive every day to learn and to grow

I know that you will grow while you go through this

Know that though we are separated by a very cold ocean

Our hearts are connected by a very warm bond

Forever…

I have seen you struggle in the past

And I have watched you soar like an eagle to the realm of possibility

I have seen you stretch your wings and face adversity and discomfort with incredible grace

You have a seed of brilliance that continues to grow

And light the path of your existence

The existence of a very true heart

A very dear soul

A very kind man

I am proud of you my friend

And I am always at your side

I will always be your cheerleader!

A dear friend is going through a very hard time.  These words came out on a page to offer him comfort.  I know many people are struggling at this time, it seems there is something in the air.  I hope these words also offer comfort to all of you who are navigating rough seas.  <3 Lorrie

    1. Hi Brad! Thank you SO MUCH!! You have been such a good friend to me…I can only hope that I have been there for you as you always offer me such beautiful support and comfort!! I know my friend will be okay…he knows it too 🙂 It is the hard times in life, Brad, that determine the kind of person we will be…we have a choice in how we decide to handle ourselves in those times.

      On a different note…have I told you lately how much I love your energy??? It is noticeably different! <3 <3

        Your comments touched me deeply. Especially the energy part. Several people have told me similar lately. I do feel that I’ve opened up to more love, confidence and a growing trust, even though none of my circumstances have shifted.

        Yes, you have and are a good friend to me. I too feel loved and supported by your words and presence in my life. I agree about the challenges. Maybe that’s the shift for me. Previously I would have begrudgingly agreed, but not felt it. Now I embrace the challenges as an opportunity to choose, center, go deeper into the best of me and my spirit.

        Just as I choose to be an uplifter of others.

That is the key to life…it is changing the way we think about the things in our life. I don’t remember who said it to give them credit but a wonderful quote that I love is:

          the things we look at change!”

It seems I have allowed some rather negative energy to invade my sanctuary. I am very aware of it now and taking the appropriate steps to deal with it!       1. I’m sure he did too! Scripture tells us, Lorrie, that we have to guard our hearts, and so you were very wise to rid yourself of the negative energy. I have a dear, dear friend who tends to be very negative and so I have to limit how much time I spend with her because I find that her negativity begins to drag me down into darkness. Now that we’re older she’s not as negative as she once was, but it’s still enough that I have to be diligent in keep a safe distance at times. I went through a very cynical period in my life while my faith journey was derailed, and so I have to be careful not to let that bent towards cynicism
        get a hold of me again. I pray you and your “French devotee” have a much better week. Since I know not the details or source of his fears, I can’t address them, so I’m glad that you know and can and will. Love and hugs, N 🙂 <3

        1. Yes! I understand what you mean Natalie. I am very sensitive to energies…so much so that at times I can’t tell whose energy is impacting me. It was very confusing to me for years…but I am learning to protect myself better.

          I had a major aha! moment today which brings me so much joy!! I have the awareness to “right” something and now I can get busy doing the work! I am so very grateful for the lessons…and I have complete and total faith that I am being divinely led!! It is a beautiful understanding!
