The Purest Love

Take me to that place of honesty

Built up from a lifetime of connection to my soul

Take me where my heart speaks

Like clear water running over mountains

Icicles dropping one drip at a time

Unlock secrets buried in the vault of time

The landscape of flower lined paths

Traversed by my inner knowledge

Wisdom

Take me to that place

Where love meets me with the gratitude of an open heart

Where it feels every movement of the energy of life

From the beginning

To the end

Extend out over mountain tops covered with snow

Down into the valley of a lost soul

Take me to that place

Where I know I am home

Because it feels right

Because I feel free

Because my soul beats in sync with my heart

And the wind gently caresses my mind

And for just a moment

That moment

I am the purest love

Take me to that place – Oh!

Take me to that place!!

  1. Oh, so so gorgeous and Love-filled!! 🙂 And what amazing photography!! 🙂 I am so happy to be reading a post from you again sweet soul-sister! <3 <3 <3 I hope you are doing okay 🙂 <3

    1. Thank you dear heart!! I am feeling love, Trini! The fear of the past did not feel good…this feels so much better 🙂 Thank you for being there…I treasure you! <3 <3

    1. Hi Brad! Thank you my dear friend! I had a vision of carrying an ornate bag and picking up treasures in this walk of life…it was quite beautiful! Thanks for giving me this vision!! Hope all is super with you Brad <3 <3

        1. I’m so sorry Brad…I have been so absent I did not know you are working in sales. I think it is a tough occupation because of the ups and downs. Believe in yourself…and your product…and don’t fall into allowing sales or non-sales to have anything to do with your self worth. I always thought I would be good at sales IF I believed in the product…but I also knew myself well enough to know that it would impact my emotions.

Thank you Brad for being a good friend…and again, I apologize for being absent in my turmoil. <3

  2. I LOVE everything about this gorgeous poem! What a divine journey to pure love (and what I interpret as self love) — without which, there is no love at all. Such lovely imagery to reflect upon… Thank you and Happy Love Month! 💞

    1. Yes!! How beautifully you interpreted these words. And what wisdom…I, too, learned that without the self love one can not experience love at all!! I wish you the best “Love Month” and hope that you dip deep in the well of self love!! <3

    1. Thanks Kim!! 🙂 I’m happy to post something that feels good 🙂 I am in the process of changing that energy! Thank you so much for your support…I appreciate you! <3

  3. Fantastic poem, I suppose we are all longing to be in such a place where nobody is pretending, lying and offending. I was recently reading a poem by a Russian poet Dmitrij Nagijev since I can read also German, Russian and obviously my native Latvian, and briefly translating a few lines it would be like:
Don’t waste your time on those
    Who do not love you,
Who don’t appreciate and value things you do
Don’t waste your tears on those
Who left you crying, and words on those
    Who never listened to them
Well, because there are always people who love and appreciate you and everything you do!

    1. Thanks for adding that dimension to my poem, Inese. I used to mistakenly think that it wasn’t kind to cut people out of your life. I now know that if someone is toxic it is okay to wish them well and move on. It is harder for me when it is a family member…but I am trying to break the cycle of dysfunction there. It becomes about self love and respect. And your poem is so right…there are always people who love you and when you join with them the love grows exponentially!! <3

  4. Oh, that place…what a feeling to be there at that place. Nothing like the feeling of love surrounding us. How wonderful it would be to be at that place all the time. Beautiful poem and journey sweet Lorrie. I hope you are doing well. Big hugs!

    1. Hi Maggie! Yes!! And what a beautiful feeling it would be to have each and every one of us there at the same time!!! Wow…that would be heaven on earth!!

I think of you often and I send you strength! I wonder if you have support in this journey you are taking. I’ve been watching the Celebrity Apprentice and Leeza Gibbons started a charity for her Mom who had alzheimer’s. I think it’s call Leeza’s Care Connection…and it is support for dear souls like you who decide to be the primary caregiver. I know that most of your time is taken with the activities of daily living…but I pray Maggie…that you make sure to take care of yourself in this process. You need to be taken care of also. If I lived near you I would help you!! Much love beautiful heart!! <3 <3
