What is at the base of the fear?
Why would it be so terrible to know what kept me locked
in a prison of denial at best
oblivion at worst
I pride myself with knowing truth
Honoring it
So why would I be content to set a portion of it aside
To delegate one truth as more important than another
To send one truth so far away from my wounded psyche
It may as well have belonged to someone else
The funny thing about truth is
I think it only belongs to the person who is willing to
Look at it
Dissect it
Question it
Live it
Honor it
And most important
Accept it!!
Blessitude

Thank you, Val! It occurred to me that truth can exist…but our exploration of it is where the real power resides. Hope your week is off to a brilliant start!! <3

Learning, growing, and embracing truth is a beautiful thing. Much love to you, my friend!!
Thank you Julie <3. I appreciate your support so much 🙂 I'm so grateful for truth!!
I’m with you, Lorrie! That photo is an excellent choice to go with these first words about bringing your truth bravely into the light.
It is so good to feel you here, JoAnne! Thank you 🙂 I’m really happy you liked the photo …I have no idea what that crazy thing is (nor the photo in the introduction!) …but I found it so interesting when I saw it. I struggled with photos for this series. I had many thoughts of what to include and the choice of not having any (that was the first idea I ditched…I love photos!!) I think it being Spring, and my love for flowers influenced the final decision. After that the pairings of photos to writings was very intuitive. 🙂 Many blessings friend!
I think you are onto something here, Lorrie. You kind of have to wrestle with truth, because it’s always slipping through your fingers, but in tumbling with it through the mud, chasing after it, feeling it wriggle from your grasp. being reminded what you thought it was has already been superseded by a newer vision– you start to understand something of its nature… 🙂
Michael
I can’t tell you how much I love it when I write something and you are able to articulate my thoughts even better than I could!! Yes…you got exactly what I felt when I wrote this one and that excites me. Being a misfit in my younger life, it really impacts me greatly when someone “gets” me. When the words I say don’t fall on deaf ears they actually dance on someone’s heart, skip in their mind!! Thank you, Michael, for this gift. I will walk through my day with a smile in my heart!! <3
Lorrie, first things first, I love your recounting of your evening at Les Mis…I felt like I was there, and hearing the joy that resulted from you taking that step towards exploring happiness and exploring it with playful curiousity inspired me. Destination: happiness! Now this posting, also touched me deeply (you have a knack for that, God bless you!)…why am I selective about the truth, when as Lily Tomlin used to say “And that’s the truth”. Everything is the truth and everything can be embraced. Now if I could sing, I would sing Embraceable You! Your pal, Harlon
🙂 I love your response Harlon!! And I bet you can sing…just a feeling 🙂 And you gave me a giant smile reminding me of Lily Tomlin’s character on Laugh In!! “Everything is the truth and everything can be embraced,” very profound words my friend. Thank you for reading and for the beautiful compliment that I touched you deeply. Have a super hump day 😉 <3
How brave of you to embark on such a journey. But the telling of such things is very cartharic and healing. I pray that you find great healing as you share with us these pieces of your heart and life. Love, N <3
Ah! Yes, I know you are correct. And I truly hope in the process that others can find healing as well! Thank you, Natalie. I am grateful for your love and support <3
Lorrie, these thoughts put to verse are one of the main reasons I love to stop by. You have a beautiful soul and express it so well in praise to the Lord! Wonderful work!!
~Steve
Thank you!! 😉
