EXQUISITE ~ Word Challenge from Brad

20150702_150404

The time you spend in my heart

Sends shivers down my spine

Your exquisite beauty

Sends love through my pores

And I am grateful for this

The connection of love

And I wish to become a

A worker of light

A worker of beauty

To continue to send this energy out to the world

My mind becomes clear

My heart beats stronger

I walk through life on sturdy legs

Connected to the beauty of love

The most exquisite love

The most exquisite feeling

I am honored to pay this forward

I shall not disappoint

My very dear friend, Brad, from writing to freedom invited me to play along in this word challenge.  Somehow, it took me over a week to see his post!!  His word gave me inspiration and I set my timer for 5 minutes.  My word was ‘exquisite’ and the above is what came out, unedited, uncut.  Thanks Brad!  Nothing moves me more than words flying from my pen 🙂

I am supposed to invite (it doesn’t say how many) others to join in the fun.  This is the part of challenges and awards that I find I don’t like very much.  So I am going to be a rule breaker…I send this word challenge out to every single person who reads this post…Yes…YOU!  If it speaks to your heart…TAG, YOU’RE IT!!! <3

Here are the rules:

1) Open an MS word document (or any other editor).
2) Set a timer for 5-10 minutes.
3) Your word is at the bottom of this post.  DO NOT SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT UNTIL YOU ARE READY WITH A TIMER.
4) Fill the word document with as many words as you want, once you start writing, don’t stop.
5) DO NOT go back and correcting spellings and grammar with spell check (this is only meant for you to reflect on your control over sensible thought flow).
6) You may or may not pay attention to punctuation and capitals.
7) At the end of your post write down the number of words.
8) Do not forget to copy and paste the entire passage to your blog post with a new word for your invitees.

YOUR WORD IS:

RELEASE

  1. Exquisite poem and photo Lorrie!!! This is a beautiful and inspired post. Thanks for playing along. 🙂
I release myself from playing round two! Have an exquisite weekend. I love that word and what you created. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Brad!! It was fun…and hope you don’t mind that I left the calling open to anyone who feels inspired 🙂 Thanks for thinking of me. I hope you have a blessed weekend ♡

  2. I am highly impressed by the exemplary way in which you rose to Brad’s challenge Lorrie. Having just watched Heather Watson play Serena Williams at Wimbledon I am far too exhausted to participate in your further challenge though. I need some release from all the competitiveness!

    Love all, H <3

    1. Ah!! Hariod…what a match!! I admit I got nothing done today because I was all in!! Poor Heather…she played fabulously and really, if you look at the match on who played to or above their potential, she should have won. But that is not how it is decided, and Serena is one incredible champion. I can’t imagine having that whole stadium cheering against me, not to mention the stakes of a possible grand slam! PRESSURE!! Now she has to play her older sister!!

Thank you for stopping by and I’m happy you enjoyed ‘Exquisite’. No worries on accepting the challenge. 🙂

  3. I love the word exquisite. I also love the word release. They send so many thoughts through the mind. I rarely have the quiet to let things flow these days. Maybe soon again. For now, I will release any expectations an enjoy the exquisiteness of life. Happy 4th and hugs.

    1. I love your creation ♡ Thank you for playing along…I’m so happy you were inspired! The following haiku is in honor of your word…integrity:

      My integrity
      Exists deep within my heart
      My place of refuge

      ♡ Have a super weekend!!

  4. Great stuff Lorrie. I also did this challenge not too long ago. It’s pretty amazing how the pressure of just letting it roll, right there on the spot, can produce something so real and good. Did you have fun with this?
    🙂 <3

  5. I like everything about your blog! The name, the subtitle and of course your work is outstanding. I’m glad to meet you. 😀
