The Light of the Season

20141216_192753

Piercing my heart

the arrow of love

makes it way from the personal

to my soul.

Everything I see takes on the light of love

washed in a rainbow of colors

designed by spirit.

During this holy holiday

I am ever able to take this sacred energy

and to spread it in the world.

I am full of grace

and love

and I extend perfect healing

to the unaware

and the injured.

Let the vibration of love…

of creation…

melt into the hearts who are lost,

the hearts who mistakenly think

that fear is the path to follow.

I offer a blessing

from the deepest part of the well of love,

to plant a tiny seed

that will continue to blossom

and grow,

as it changes

false thoughts

and

misplaced identities,

and brings us all back to

the root…

the root of our salvation,

the life force

and energy that connects our souls…

the only REAL thing…

LOVE!

  6. Thank you for your powerful meditation Lorrie; a transcendentally inspiring message to carry in our hearts as the New Year approaches. I must thank you also for all of your insightful, candid and powerful postings throughout 2015, which, if I am not incorrect, has been something of a ‘releasing’ year for you dear friend. Forgive me if I have presumed too much, although I hope I have not. I send you my heartfelt best wishes for peace and contentedness to be with you now and always. Hariod <3

    1. Ah! Hariod! You stirred feelings deep in my soul and they vibrated and released as tears from my eyes…not bad tears (though I have been thinking hard about ditching that label “bad” as well as “good”…perhaps I have found one of my thoughts for study in this New Year…I don’t like the term “resolution.”)
I think when someone “sees” us…and “gets” us…it is a very liberating feeling…which goes along with your insightful understanding of my year. I did not always want to be “seen,” in fact I have gone to great lengths not to be seen! I believe that is when I was not living authentically. The other part is we become vulnerable when we stand naked with nothing to hide behind. Thank you dear Hariod for “seeing” me, and for allowing me to know that there is nothing to “fear.” Yes, it has been a year of releasing and I stand now to honor the work, and even to mourn a tiny bit. I am so grateful for our connection, Hariod! I can remember having fear the first time I made a comment on your blog…your intellect appeared so far out of reach to me…and yet I knew that I needed to connect with you! I am so, so grateful to be able to share energy with you!!! I wish you all good things, and I thank you for the impact you have on my life!! Much love!! <3 <3

  7. The lines echo the spirit of the season, love. It’s a powerful emotion, capable of constructing as well as destructing the world.

Wish you a wonderful year ahead, Lorrie, and I sincerely hope that you’ll inspire us with your writings more and more… 🙂 <3

    Merry Christmas, dear… 🙂

    1. Thank you dear Maniparna!! I am grateful for your soul…and I wish you peace…and love!! I also hope to continue to write the words I feel in my soul!!! Many blessings to you dear friend…and love!! Beautiful Love!! <3

  8. Wishing you God’s wonderful gifts of faith, hope, peace, and love
    at Christmas-time and always.

As we take a moment from our busy lives to celebrate the birth of our Lord,
we pray your holidays are filled with love, and your New Year filled with peace.

May this glorious day of our Savior’s birth
resound with hope and peace on earth!
    Merry Christmas!

A silent night, a star above,
a blessed gift of hope and love…
    A blessed Christmas to you!

  9. Thank you for this beautiful Christmas poem, Lorrie! It is truly love alone that matters, heals, and carries us forward. I wish you a wonderful Holiday Season and lots of happiness in the new year. Much love <3

  10. Oh Lorrie, so sorry it has taken me so long to get here. Actually, I should have been traveling by now. My daughter was sick on Christmas, then I was violently ill yesterday. We will leave tomorrow morning.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and that you have a wonderful New Year’s celebration.
    😊💕

  11. Dear, sweet Lorrie your blog looks so nice, I really like the way you have it and color is perfect. That you for all of your visits, thinking of me sharing the wonderful blessing. I am doing okay and had a very nice Christmas with family and friends. I am so blessed to have such caring and loving friends…you included dear heart. Love and hugs, Maggie

    1. Oh Maggie, you dear sweet beautiful soul!! I am so happy to hear from you and so glad you had a nice Christmas with family and friends. Thank you for the nod of my new look on my blog 🙂 It felt like time for a change. I wrap you in the biggest bear hug I can muster!!! <3 <3

  12. Good words 🙂

    Possible typo: I think that
“makes it way from the personal”
    should be
“makes its way from the personal”
(although maybe the flaw is mine)

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. It’s funny…I read your words and thought, “Oh, your are correct,” and I thought I would change it. For kicks, I got my journal out to see what I had originally written. All of my poems begin when I see a “neon light of words” behind my eyes. I must run and get my journal (or any piece of paper) and pencil. I write the first line and then the rest of the words I hear, and like a secretary taking dictation I write the words down. Sometimes I can’t keep up with how fast the words are coming. So for this reason, I generally do not edit the pieces. I have on occasion changed a word here or there, but what makes it on the blog is usually pure to the process. When I read it, I remembered it, and for that reason I would like to leave it the way it is. I understand it is awkward, and I could possibly add a dash or comma to help the idea.
I appreciate that you took the time to tell me and I don’t view it as a “flaw.” Quite the opposite, I enjoyed going back to re-visit the poem and it gave me the opportunity to tell you my process! 😉
I hope your weekend is filled with many blessings…Thank you! 🙂

      1. Thank you so much for sharing your ‘process’ with me. Very interesting. Isn’t it great that we’re all different?

I do hope that you don’t think that I consider typos ‘flaws’ as such. I’m very aware that all too many people interpret constructive feedback as criticism. I like to think of my ‘typo alerts’ as the former, rather than the latter (as well as probably indicative of some obsessive compulsive disorder that probably has its own name in some psychological treatise someplace).

Here’s wishing you many blessings along the road, too 🙂

        1. Haha…I understand completely 🙂 (especially the OCD!) I won’t lie and say that I have never been defensive in the face of constructive criticism, but that did not happen here. 🙂 Enjoy your weekend…and thanks again…I really do appreciate you taking your time to leave a footprint here!
