The softness that resides inside

touches me in times of stillness.

I remember when life was innocent and carefree

and the only job I had 

was to live life with laughter from my soul.

The free and easy feeling

of sharing love with every being,

knowing that we all exist together,

each with a gift and a plan.

Walking the journey unaware,

yet involved,

bouncing off the circumstances of others,

and finding purpose in the shadows of truth.

I celebrate the magnificence

that designed this beautifully orchestrated whole.

I walk in peace through terrain

that constantly changes,

and that changes me

into a being with purpose

who recognizes the importance

of the tiniest details.

In a world where we get to decide

the path we take,

the things we notice,

the people we touch,

the good we do,

the love we make,

I know in my heart

that it all matters.

I love this quote from A Course in Miracles! It speaks to the idea that we have to be aware of something before we can manifest it. We have to be aware of something before we can change it. We have to have dreams and then awaken to them!

I look back and realize that everything has a Divine order. All of the lessons I have learned have been orchestrated perfectly. I feel peace where I am right now on this eve of my 57th birthday…AH! (How did that happen?)

I send a huge wish that you all feel the peace and serenity from my photos and words, and that you are caressed in love as you awaken from your dreams !

      I, too, am slowly working my way through ACIM. If you have not read it…there is also A Course of Love…which is a super complement and a much fast read.

    1. Hey Brad! I am so happy that you feel all those good things! The photos are completely untouched (no filter…?) It was a day last week and I looked out the back and had to run to find my phone! The pond was so calm and the reflection of the clouds and colors….Ah!
      Life is amazing the way we can go from despair to exhilaration. The pendulum swings…

We have to begin to start seeing the world from a different perspective.. And only when we go deep within our own being do we fully begin to understand we have to create that what we desire within and see it already created.. Then it will manifest into being..

    1. Hi Sue! Thank you so much!! It truly feels empowering to know that I have the ability to change the energy in my world. It has been a long learned lesson, and sometimes those lessons are really hard. But I am sitting in the driver’s seat and feeling that it IS POSSIBLE! And that is a beautiful thing. It has been so important to connect with beautiful souls who believe the same thing and I know deep in my heart that we have the ability to effect changes everywhere!!

  21. Such a lovely poem, Lorrie. To live life with laughter from your soul…as kids that’s what we do and as we grow up, we sort of lose that spirit along the way. But as when you said that we all have a choice to take the paths we want to take in this world, no reason why we can’t live the life that we want. Everything that has happened is meant to be and we are where we are today because of all that we’ve been through…life is strange that way. I know it’s a bit late but Happy Birthday and may your year ahead be one that is all you want it to be 🙂
