“A Timeless Future”

I am as God created me.

“In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future. If you are as God created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from His, no split between your mind and other minds, and only unity within your own.” ~Lesson 110, A Course in Miracles

Wow! WOW! I want to say wow again, because honestly, this passage left me speechless!

This lesson gives me hope. It fills me with excitement that I am exactly as I am meant to be, and even when we consider free will, all that I am and all that I do is part of a larger puzzle and I am a piece that fits.

I fit into the whole, and you fit, too! I fit into myself, and so do you! We fit with each other in this absolutely wonderful life that we are so blessed to be a part of.

I have been having a hard time with the feeling of division that is blatantly displayed if you pick up a paper or turn on the television news. It seems that everyone does their best to focus on the things that make us different. I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while and I wanted to write that maybe if we focused more on the ways we are the same we just might get along better.

But after reading this, Lesson 110 from A Course in Miracles, I felt supreme peace wash over me.

I will repeat it again:

“I am as God created me. In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future.”

Ah! What a present indeed 🙂

As we move closer to the day we celebrate gratitude in the U.S., I wish you all Peace, Hope, and Joy.

Happy (Early) Thanksgiving

to those who celebrate (and to everyone else as well…it is a great thing to celebrate!)

I am so grateful for our connection, I am Blessitude!

  1. Beautiful post Lorrie! We are all connected even if our human sides are separate! I hope all is well with you dear friend. Big hugs and may you have a lovely Thanksgiving too! I’m thankful for our friendship xo

    1. My friend!! How are you? So much to catch up on. Thanks so much for your kind words…and loving heart. Yes…we are all connected.
I hope that things are super wonderful in your world and that you have a great Thanksgiving <3 <3

  2. Thank you Lorrie. I’m delighted that this passage resonated with you and helped you feel the miracle of unity. In the past, I’ve felt the blessed union, but not so much lately. Intellectually, I know it’s true, yet if I don’t feel it, I don’t live it. May more of us find our way back to thinking, feeling, living, and being in unity. Hugs and stuff…🙌

    1. Awww…thanks, Brad. I know exactly what you mean. I am such a feely (is that a word?) person…all the work/art/writing/posting…you name it, is governed by the way I FEEL. And when I feel down in the well…not much unity is there. Then I think about how behind every feeling is a thought and that I must be thinking things that cause the feelings. I am not perfect yet…but I really try to change my thinking. One day…yes…one day.
Sending lots of good thoughts to spark good feelings <3

      1. I hope it works for you Lorrie. I’ve given up trying to think myself into a good place, In fact, I am no longer trying to improve or fix myself at all. Focused more on living and accepting. Hugs.

    1. So true, Diane. I think that causes half the problems people experience. They try to live a life to please someone else and the truth of who they are is never expressed.
Thanks for adding here, and many sweet blessings. Happy Thanksgiving just a little early! <3

  3. Good that you found something, as resonated with you Lorrie 😀
We are all equal and different in same time.
Some time ago, I saw a photo of 4 Labrador dogs in one photo. One was light beige in color, another red, another chocolate colored and the last was black. The text for that photo said it all: We are the same dog, no matter what color you choose.
I do also like to see the equality most possible. I have noticed, that my biggest challenge that way is, when the different cultures are standing in the way for each other. Then I’m forced to think to act good too.

    1. Yes, Irene…I know what you are speaking of. We are all humans…just like those doggies are all Labradors. I never cared about what made us different…even though I was surrounded by others who did not have the same view. I just never understood it! In my mind, there is nothing that makes any one of us better…or worse…than any other.
Sweet blessings, my friend. I hope you had a lovely weekend 💜

  4. May these words of wisdom land deep within and nourish every part of you Lorrie. After all, there is nothing wrong. It is only our thinking that makes it so. 💛🙏💛

    1. 💜💜
How true, Val. I am making progress as I now crave to see that everything is right! Thanks, Val. This particular verse really hit me in the truth area 🌝 Sweet blessings….hope you have a great week💜

  5. Beautiful post, Lorrie!! Just beautiful!! What caught my eye were your words saying we are perfect and a puzzle piece that fits. YES!! It was either yesterday or today that my thoughts formed and I listened ….. that I am a puzzle piece, unique, like no other, and it is my piece that fits perfectly to make the puzzle whole as all of the other pieces do as well. What an incredible thought! We ARE perfect just as we are …. God made us as we are and who are we to deny God the pleasure of watching us grow as He planned for us? How I loved this post! Thank you so much! Yes let us be grateful for who we are and for the lives we do have. (((HUGS))) xoxoxo

    1. I love when we are on the same train of thought! Yes…we fit! And we are perfect just the way we are🌝 And we are all perfect together (even though so many act like we are not 😔)
Thanks, Amy. I wish you always feel this way!
      Happy early Thanksgiving🌝💜

  6. Reblogged this on Anything is Possible! and commented:
Re-blogging a revelation from Lorrie Bowden who writes about Lesson 110 in A Course in Miracles: “I am as God created me.” God created diversity and, I believe, gave us the brain power to learn how to cooperate, create peace, and benefit richly from this diversity. What if we did focus on our similarities? What a wonderful world it could be! Thanks, Lorrie!

  7. This feels profoundly comforting! Besides what I wrote on my re-blog about diversity and peace, remembering that “I am as God created me,” gives me hope for everyone God created along with all the things I was born with that often feel like mistakes, but are blessings. I especially love the part about looking for our common ground. Peace, peace, peace, and much love to you, Lorrie!

    1. Oh…JoAnna! I see these words affected you similarly🌝 I just had such an understanding and overwhelming feeling of peace. It gives me great joy that you had a similar feeling. Thank you so much for sharing!! 🌝💜💜

    1. Joanna, I’ve been working my way through A Course in Miracles for quite some time. It is not a steady every day ritual; more like an intuitive gift. When I read that lesson it made everything so clear and it allows me to honor all of me…what I viewed as mistakes included. It also made me see that if this gift was offered to me then it was also offered to every human being in existence…with all of their “mistakes!”

Powerful understanding!! Thank you for connecting with me on this…it is also a gift to be understood 💜
Go out on this Tuesday and find miracles!

  8. Thank you Lorrie for this posting, timed perfectly for me it felt, you have so much power to connect with people.
Your writing is so often “right for me”and just at the right time. As always, you leave me feeling connected and hopeful. You are a Goddess- send 🙂
    Love as always, Harlon

    1. Ah! Hello Harlon💜
You touch my soul. It gives me great joy that my words can be timely for you and that they touch you.
A “Goddess-send!” Hmmmmmm…I only ever thought of the word “Goddess” as mythical…but I’m kind of intrigued by your intention!
I want you to know you cross my mind so often and I always keep you in a special place. Keep healing, Harlon. I send you so much love💜

    1. Hi Kirt 😁 Thank you so much. I’m in the process of a new tradition as I believe it is the first Thanksgiving EVER that I didn’t spend with my Mom.
The very best wishes to you and yours for Thanksgiving 💜

    1. Hi Ka! And a beautiful first Thanksgiving for you and yours💜 Yes…we all fit. In all our pain and glory!
Thank you, friend. I had a quiet, pensive holiday. And I counted my many blessings💜

  9. Oh my beautiful Lorrie, once again we are of like mind. I have never aligned with division of any kind, even as a child, which is a conundrum, as never aligning with division in itself divided me from near everyone else I knew, as well as all I was seeing in the world. I spent the larger part of my older young self, young adult years, adults years and currently “ahem” mature years … intentionally news ignorant. I haven’t a clue what’s going on in the world with regard to news, unless it’s specific news that I seek out, catch wind of and intentionally bond with and while I admit to be a “boob tuber,” always had been, became far more over the past 4 years … the channels I do watch don’t have any or many commercials, so I keep myself shielded from that which I not only don’t align with, but which disturbs my energy. Aside from the animals, which of course you know I am one with, as well as trees – able to see through their eyes, feel their emotions/thoughts and life force, the situation in Australia has been on the forefront in my life (maybe the sidelines of my “stuff”), but not due to the pain which of course it brings, but FAR MORE due to the outpouring of undivided love. I find myself overjoyed, aligned with and feeling the immense collective love in the physical as well as in energy flowing around our world. It’s so extremely palatable. Never before in my lifetime have I stood in witness, or felt in energy of the enormous amount of coming together that’s being seen during this time with regard to Australia. There is no division, only outpouring of continued, non-stop, consistently never-ending love from all walks of life, corners of our world and within the hearts of all man collectively. The lack of division and immense outpouring of love has been drawing me in so greatly. In on way at all am I dismissing the magnitude of the event that seems to have caused it – I’m merely not speaking of it as that isn’t the topic at hand, and because I’ve chosen to focus on and envision the gratitude, joy, healing and rebirth … restoration than the other – I’ve said my powerful prayers for those who have suffered and know they’re at peace, which is all I’ll say about that, and only in a show of respect for those who don’t know me and may not understand my deep connection and what it was it meant to me, one that is one with all who have perished.

Division among our species has befuddled me my entire life. Differences existing, yes, causing divide? No, and why? We are all as God created us, all perfectly as we should be – even if and when our free will has caused a glitch here or there, because we knew about that glitch happening before we arrived, but have merely forgotten. You my friend are perfectly YOU, we are all perfectly US, none any less important, more important or undeserving than the next. All which does live has been created as God intended – each of us bring something unique into this world that nobody else, or thing, does or can – and it can be something as small as sitting on a bench and staring (for an odd example) – if that is what we were created to do, or be, then we are doing so perfectly.

Love you my love. <3 Always your friend … Kimba
