Life gets a whole lot easier when you stop trying to live other people’s lives and focus only on living your own!
This is a lesson that comes up a lot for me. Somehow – somewhere I learned that I know what is best for every person in my world.
Is it possible that I’m so busy worrying about everybody else that I don’t have time to worry about my own stuff? Or is it possible that I have an ego the size of Texas and I truly believe that I know what is best for everyone?
UGH! I don’t like the answer to either question. In my defense, or perhaps in my deluded state of mind, I do it because I truly want to help people. The problem therein lies, that most people don’t want help!
I am a work in progress, and I am actually making progress. I am going to channel my willingness to help towards the people who actually ASK for it. I have changed my ASK service here on the blog to offer a free 30-minute zoom call to see if we are a fit to work together. Check it out here if you are interested.

And the final news I would like to share is that my son is progressing in his healing journey. He continues to experience ups and downs – both physically and emotionally. And I watch as he continues to learn the lessons that are offered during this process. All of your love, support, and prayers are appreciated SO MUCH!! I will continue with the love, support, and prayers for your son, Lorrie! May he full heal. The path to healing from such an injury is not easy and I pray for his strength and for grace. Congratulations on your card design. It must be lovely because you are!! Also you are so correct when you say that most people don’t want help. I don’t think it involves ego, though. I think it’s not personal. People don’t know what they don’t know. This is why I think it is such an honor when people come to work with me. I am so grateful to be of service, just like you. Trust your beautiful heart! 💗
Thank you, Ka! I love your final line…yes…to trust my heart. So many times in the past I was not able to. So many reasons for it…but it has been a learning process and a lot of work…work that I am so grateful to have done. It is an honor when people can trust you to do this hard work…and you are correct…not all are ready for it…and many don’t even know it is possible. But when we work together the gifts are for both…and for that I am Blessitude!
Thanks for mentioning the cards…it has been a labor of love. The cards were written as I said…5 YEARS AGO! And then the Universe moved in ways that are incredible and this will be the first “product” that I launch…and it feels right…everything about it feels right.

I am so delighted for you about the cards, Lorrie!!! It’s your first product launch 🚀. And I get it!!! This is huge for having been an artist for so long. I also get it that they were written 5 years ago and then the universe helped to organize support for “birthing” them in full. This is a big celebration 🎉 it’s only the beginning. 🤗

When we offer support and stand back, without attachment then they can feel more empowered to choose their own way forward. The most important part for us is to simply be there when needed. That is just awesome about your card deck, Lorrie! Your beautiful words and ideas will inspire so many others. I hardly see you as a busy body. Offering help to people is altruistic and if there is a negative to it (when someone doesn’t want help), I see the positive as much greater! I also don’t think that your caring about other people means you are neglecting yourself. I see helping as a way to reinforce feeling healthy and celebrates healing. I know it’s that way for me!
Thank you also for the update about your son. May he continue to heal and move forward on his pathway. Having you as his mom certainly shines a light for him!

I am excited about my card deck…and it will be amazing to hold them in my hands…such a labor of love!! And my very first “published” piece! I really hope they help people…and as you say…it is altruistic…and really just speaks to who I am.
And thank you for your kind words and prayers for Jason. He is not used to such a huge trauma and all that entails to heal. And he may not be the most patient tool in the shed 😉😉 But I think patience will be one of the lessons…

OMG, when I had my broken ankle – my biggest lesson was patience. I had to keep dealing with it. Being non-weight bearing for months was sooo hard! But now that it’s behind me, I’ve actually almost forgotten how hard it was!
Life lessons help us have more resilience for later struggles. It’s definitely a journey. You know that all too well, Lorrie!

Thank you my friend 💜 I think it is amazing…and a huge testament to that adage that time heals all wounds…that you have almost forgotten about such a debilitating injury!! The body heals on its own…and yet we must do some work to heal the emotional burdens. Bringing it all together is the true essence of Body.. Mind…Spirit integration! And sometimes…I think it is easier to deal with the physical than the emotional…and that might be a HUGE clue as to WHY we manifest the physical ailments in the first place!! Here I go getting all philosophical!

I can relate to being too interested in helping others, especially my grown up children. I guess it’s part of being a mother, but I still need to take a deep breath, step back and know God has a plan for them, too. I’ll be praying for your son’s continued healing. It took me a long time to learn that it’s not my job to fix everyone else’s life, and that most other people don’t even want my help or advice! That’s a valuable lesson to learn, I think. I’m so glad to hear your son is progressing! Healing is never a straight line, it’ more two steps forward and one step back, but it’s still progress. Continued prayers for both of you…..
Hi Ann 😊 I learned it a long time ago too…and a longer time ago…and a shorter time ago…OOOPS…maybe I haven’t learned it at all! 😉 I really need to get on board with the lesson…and LET GO! It seems it has been easier to let go of trying control all aspects of my life…and that made me try to control everyone else!! Well…maybe it’s not as bad as I make it out to be…but let’s just say there is room for improvement!

Thank you, Miriam 😊 It had been a great project and I have overcome many obstacles (some of them self-imposed) and won’t lie…I’m starting to feel a little bit of the inner saboteur…the VERY ICKY voice inside that threatens the light! I know the key is to stay inside my faith and purpose! I also find it interesting, the things that occurred (like my son’s accident) while I was in the middle of this project. It’s all good…and thank you ALWAYS for the love and light and prayers you send for him…I KNOW IT matters!!

As for helping others… So know the page you are speaking from… Now is the time I feel to nurture ourselves more.. and take personal responsibility for our selves, and others have to take responsibility for themselves….
Sadly people often don’t want help, they just want someone to blame… And I am done with mind games of people as I stand within my own authentic self, speak my truth as I feel it and perceive it and its up to others to them to speak theirs as they see it…
Debate however seems to not exist as people expect only their side of the coin to be the right one.. Sadly life is going to teach some huge lessons very soon…
And those same people will no doubt still be needing help… and no doubt Lorrie, with hearts as we have, we will try our best to help them..
But people have to be prepared to help themselves along the way too… We cannot do it for them…

Thank you, Sue 😊💜 I am excited to be finishing this project…it has been a lot of fun…and a lot of work!! I always amaze myself at how I can UNDERESTIMATE the amount of time it takes to do things 😊 and I am very consistent with that!
I agree, and I wish it wasn’t so. Used to be we could have different opinions and still be able to communicate. Now I can’t tell you how many shootings there are here in the States because people disagree and take their guns out!! Just the other day not far from where I live a road rage incident ended with a lady being shot in the neck!! She chased the car and got the license number…and then pulled over and had to be air lifted to a trauma center!!
I try not to expose myself to the news…but things come up on my phone. And then I get conflicted because I’ve had people tell me I live in my own little dream world and that is not reality!! My answer to them is…it’s MY REALITY!!
I do realize that a lot of people don’t want help…and I really am going to focus on those who do!! Famous last words 😉
