Labyrinth & Bridges…Spring Lake, NJ

Today’s walk was around the Spring Lake in Spring Lake, New Jersey.

This was the first view that made me stop to snap a shot.

Over the bridge,

which was a little creepy

because there wasn’t a spot on it that didn’t have

a beautiful spider web woven on it.

Walk the labyrinth at

St. Andrew’s Meditation Garden & Labyrinth

I set an intention to be open,

heart, mind, and soul

To become that which I Am

I saw so many awesome trees

But this one bent over backwards

to be included in this post

Round the east end of the lake,

closest to the ocean,

and this is a long view

of one of the beautiful bridges

A splash of color

provided by canoes and kayaks

in their resting place

And a lovely view

of a floating canoe

A shot of the town center

from the south end

full of lovely shops and eateries

    1. Hi Brad! Thank you 🙂 It was a lovely walk…and walking a labyrinth is an amazing way to connect spiritually to your soul. I just love them. This town is a bit “ritzy” for my taste but it is beautiful! 🙂 Have a happy hump day!! 🙂

  1. Oh, Lorrie, this is lovely. Beautiful words with pictures to match. So want to give your puppy a kiss on the nose. Hug him for me. 🙂

    1. Hi Kim….He is the happiest boy receiving your hug! He is a very busy love giver on these walks…He wants every person we see to stop and get a kiss! It’s funny…Some people can’t help themselves…they have to stop and talk to him!! So full of joy…He teaches me a lot 🙂 Love to you <3. I was about to write to you about your lovely sister post 🙂

      1. Oh, I can just imagine how everyone stops to love your sweet pup. No one could resist him! And, yes, they do teach us many things besides calming us in times of stress. Thank you, Lorrie. 🙂

  2. What a lovely post Lorrie! Now I can “visualize” where you live. Spring lake! It is such a beautiful name – and of course the last picture is SO cute -“the puppy” – is it it real name? It looks exhausted! I love cats & dogs… and I like the photo with the canoes
    “A splash of color
    provided by canoes and kayaks
    in their resting place”
    it’s almost a haiku!
If you’re interested I’ll tell you more about my own city…
You (and the Puppy) are very lucky to live in a such beautiful place – the sea, trees, lakes… and a big city like New York so close… I love your “main street” picture too, you know it looks very very american seen from here, and beautiful!
Thank you, now I can imagine where you’re going for a walk 🙂
Merci encore, and much love to you!

    1. Oh dear Frédéric! ! I’m so happy you liked this post 🙂 We don’t live in the town of Spring Lake…it is very expensive there…but we are close to it…so I can go any time I would like. This town has beautiful mansions on the Atlantic Ocean…but this lake is truly charming…and the town center is quaint.
Now the puppy…His official name is Melo (pronounced like mellow) but he has oh so many names…Some friends say I am crazy and that I am confusing him…I say I may be crazy but he knows every one of them!! Mostly he is “Mellie”…but I will do a post that includes all his names later 🙂 and you are so funny catching that I almost wrote a haiku…in retrospect. ..that would have been an awesome way to present it!
And yes…This is an amazing place to live…and I need to go into NYC soon before the summer is over!! Much much love to you <3 <3

        1. Oh Frédéric! He is happy from the moment he opens his eyes in the morning till he passes out exhausted!! I am so blessed to have him in my life 😉

  3. Thank you for sharing your morning walk in all its splendor and what a lovely neighbourhood! Wishing you a wonderful rest of your day sunshine!

  4. Great shots! Good back-bending poses! 🙂 And a fun-looking time!
Did you stop in the middle of the bridge? Hard to feel grounded there, huh?

    1. Hey Uncle Tree! We stopped in the middle only long enough to take photos of the spider webs. But when I saw there wasn’t an inch without a web I started to wonder where all the spiders were…. and we high tailed it out of there! And by the way…I can’t take a photo of a tree without thinking of you!! <3

    1. I love you too! Thank you for your beautiful words <3 I am going to jump over to your site in just a few (if my internet allows….having trouble with connection today)
I'm so excited that you joined this forum…you will add much to it….and much will be given to your in return!! Love You!!
