It Was Noticeable

IT WAS NOTICEABLE

The stillness was so noticeable.  There wasn’t a hint of breath, nor did a branch move.

My mind looked on in wonder as the thoughts darted in and out, moving effortlessly and raging to a screaming crescendo echoed by the piercing stream of internal sound accompanied by the one that was real.

It was noticeable.  The dichotomy of the scene before me, the one I could see with my eyes but not quite reach with my soul, and the one that has been a constant companion, stitched to my side, unable to break free and handcuffed to my spirit.

It was noticeable.  All I ever wanted was to feel the peace and tranquility, live in the place of trust and truth, and not let any other sound, real or manufactured, break the blessed reverie of the scene placed before my eyes, the scene I had seen before, the place I remembered, the place I loved, the place I felt safe, and the place I felt love.

It was noticeable.

The sound got louder.

And it was noticeable.

Blessitude!

        1. I send my prayers and healing energy Sue…such senseless tragedy. I don’t know how people can think these are the right things to do…but then again there is SO much going on that doesn’t make sense!! 2. Sometimes it is hard to allow ourselves to surrender to the beauty. A part seems to hold on to the ego-mind and it’s analysis. Be open to the healing in this space. It is a gift. 💕

    1. Thank you, Val 😊 You couldn’t have said anything with more truth!! This is a gift…and I am full of Blessitude to be able to see this every day. We truly live in such magnificence it takes my breath away. Much love to you on this wonderful day 💜

  3. You were open to this peace and tranquility, so it knows you. It will come back to you again and again. Maybe not in exactly the same way, but it will come, like an old friend.

    1. Ummmm… I love the conviction I can feel from your words, Joanna! Thank you for this sweet blessing I feel this morning. May your day have moments of quiet peace 💜

  4. What a beautiful view and you get to see it everyday! There are days where I find myself becoming the view to feel the peace of it. I also understand the contrast of what’s going on inside with what we see outside. There are many places where it’s the other way around and I find myself more grateful. Wishing you deep abiding peace.

    1. Oh…Marlene! You strummed that place inside that is directly connected to compassion and the tears flowed gently from a warm heart! Yes! Yes to everything you wrote. ‘There are days where I find myself becoming the view to feel the peace of it.’ …so sublime and incredible wisdom 😊
I hope that you are well. I know what you mean when you speak of the opposite also…it is challenging to say the least. Sending much love…and beautiful light. Thank you for adding your lovely spirit here 💜

  5. Sweet Lorrie these words are beautiful. In the last year I have been experiencing a peace like I have never known before. Peace is such a wonderful thing. 6. I think of this as His constant reminder to “Be Still and know that I am God”…that inner battle with our own baggage vs the peace right in front of us…the scene is so tranquil…wow is all I can say! Blessings to you!!

  7. “All I ever wanted was to feel the peace and tranquility, live in the place of trust and truth, and not let any other sound, real or manufactured, break the blessed reverie of the scene placed before my eyes…” I can totally relate to this. Of course then something intrudes, but we can always return to these islands of wonder in the midst of whatever comes. <3

    1. Ah! Yes!!! Bela 😁 I am learning how to come back to these places! I think I was so unaware FOR SO LONG…and now I am learning…sometimes it takes a little while…I was a much better student in school 😉 But it is such a beautiful thing to KNOW! And I love how this coincides with some upcoming changes that will be evident on my blog soon.
Best wishes for you to always have the peace that nature instills in you. Much Love, beautiful soul 💜💜

  8. Your writing is so moving… and vivid…. I love the contrasts you have achieved here…. And the ending is beautiful… A place and a scene you had seen before: the deja vu, so to call it, is noticeable too…. (I have felt similarly… and something odd that occured me: It could have happened to me in unfamiliar “new” places)….
Sending love & best wishes, dear Lorrie! 😀 <3

    1. Your soul truly is so beautiful and I am so happy that after 5 straight days of rain, a rainbow appeared just in time to gift it to you! I get what you mean about deja vu…and it happening in “new” places.
I’m so happy we have connected…thank you!! Much love and light back to you 💜💜

  9. We stand, sometimes, in the face of this tranquil magnitude. Our breast beating. Our lungs drinking the quiet. Our minds tumbling. Our histories unfurl into the quiet, and we feel ourselves bleeding across the edges that we’ve cultivated, feeling the proximity of eternity. All of it held by an immanent, palpable grace, as we stand upon the threshold, and see what always has been and always will be…

Peace and Love to you, Lorrie,
    Michael

    1. Im just so blown away by your words, Michael! They are so incredibly beautiful…deeply moving. I feel so blessed to have them grace my little corner of this blogisphere!! I felt such inspiration that I wanted to use your words and work off of them for a future post…maybe it’s a possibility 😊
Thank you for your beauty…i am Blessitude to have you in my life 💜

  10. Although I sense some longing in this post, I am picking up on a message of clarity and realization.
You are not numb, or dull (that’s the last word in the world I would use to describe you), you are aware.
    And beautifully so.
    xo Harlon

    1. Ah! What a beautiful message for me this Sunday morning, Harlon! Thank you for your caring soul and for the love that I can ALWAYS feel!
May this day offer something delightful…something that tickles your fancy! (I’ve often wondered just where the ‘fancy is 😉!)
      Much love 💜💜

  11. I can feel that place…the stillness and the noticeable natural beauty. I wish you soul healing peace and send lots of love <3

    1. Thank you, Helen 😊 I can feel the beauty in this wish and I’m so grateful! Life is full of beauty, and I am so happy to be able to connect to nature…it always soothes my soul no matter the chaos that may be erupting.
Wishing you a week filled with beauty and love 💜

  12. This reads lovely, Lorrie. It is raining these days in my part of the world and with rain you know there’s so much going on in nature everything seems vibrant, clean and rejuvenated but that is what makes the impeding stillness so noticeable too. Inspiring work, as always. <3 <3 I think i might write a nature inspired post soon thanks to you.
Hope you're doing well and in good health. 🙂

    1. I know what you mean…”everything seems vibrant, clean and rejuvenated.” Water cleanses…and when I feel I need to “move” something that is deep inside me…i visualize water running through my body…taking away the things that are not necessary. I look forward to reading your words 😉 Nature, in all its beauty, all its strength, and all its fury at times, is so full inspiration!
Thanks so much for your kind words and well wishes. I am working every day on my health and i know its improving. Many blessings to you 💜
