I remember you
You walk through clouds in my dreams
A scent that lingers
Just a few seconds long
But speaks to the truth of the past
I remember you
A thought the size of a grain of sand
Filtered through the glass
That sparkles on the beach
Rubbing rough edges raw
In the passage of time
I remember you
Catching fireflies in the summer sky
A mason jar with a lid
The holes cut so perfectly
But releasing them to the open air
Because you thought they should be free
I remember you
Having deep conversations with all the animals
Bargaining – knowing that they understood you
Better than any human in your world
Sometimes holding stubborn
Sometimes giving in
Always the souls who never turned away
I remember you
Filled with light and joy
Aware that there’s something more than what’s seen
As rainbows paint colors in the sky
And love declares dominion
Yes…I remember you!

This beautiful thing called life marches on. Twists and turns, stops and starts – like a pendulum that swings to and fro – it always moves.
It changes. Sometimes it’s vast, hard, and observable. Sometimes it’s minuscule. But it’s always layered. And before you know it, the change becomes something we can’t not know.
I look back and I see the highly sensitive young girl who existed before the challenges of life layered stones on her heart and made it heavy – too heavy to see and feel the beauty of the Divine.
The feeling changed from anguished regret to understanding, and then to full acceptance with a surge of gratitude.
What if it’s all been necessary – a Divine plan to bring me to the place where I am right now? What if, instead of looking at it through the dark tunnel – allowing the depth of the despair to infiltrate my soul and permeate my psyche – I choose to see it with lenses that move through the colors of a prism that highlight the sacred abyss?
I believe we all came here for a reason. I also believe that life circumstances can take us off course. So I invite you to answer the question: “Are you living the life you came here to live, or are you living someone else’s version of it?”
I spent many years doing just that. But in the past several years, I have been walking a beautiful path back to myself. Back to the dreams and the hopes of the young girl who talked to horses and who released lightning bugs from her mason jar because she couldn’t stand to see their lights fade – maybe because it reminded me too much of myself.
While there were times of deep regret for the years I thought were lost, I now see that everything happened exactly the way it needed to happen. And that the journey home is the most loving gift we can give ourselves.
Here’s to living life in The Magnificent Energy of Creation, and to knowing that we are the designers – the architects. We alone decide which life we will live.
DO YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO CLAIM THE LIFE YOUR SOUL CAME HERE TO LIVE?
Blessitude!

To the one true life
In the middle of deep truth
You can find yourself

Lovely verse and attitude Lorrie. And nice to see you back on WordPress.
Hi Brad! Thanks so much 🙂 I have missed being here…
Hope that all is well in your world! I will be over to catch up <3
There is a lot of synchronicity here, Lorrie! I just wrote a new song and it’s all about feeling young and embracing my inner child. I relate so much to what you wrote. I’m not bitter about the suffering I’ve gone through, because it led me to the beautiful place where I am today! It’s great to have you back!
Hi Judy! I love that we float around in the same pool of love! I can’t wait to hear your new song. And I also can’t wait to explore what else you have been up to.
Yes, it feels like I have totally embraced everything and KNOW that it was all part of a plan to bring me to my truth. It also feels pretty amazing to feel like I am driving where I am headed next.
Sending so much love and light <3
A beautiful reflection Lorrie 💞 We are, after all, exactly where we are meant to be…. May the learning and love keep unfolding. xoxo
Thanks, Val <3 It feels like a beautiful flower that continues to open! Sending all good energy my friend!
Hey Lorrie, glad to hear that awareness of your love opening kind lady. After all my ‘stuff’ I looked back and realised each and every step took me exactly where I needed to go too. And was so glad that in that moment…I just let go it all…and accepted…everything. Great post kind lady, and thank you for sharing your discovery 🤣❤️🙏
Hi Mark 🙂 Yes…the acceptance…and the letting go. It is a beautiful path, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be walking it with eyes wide open. I’ve missed being here, even though I love what I am doing. Sure hope that life is showing you beautiful moments…it’s hard to imagine that it isn’t – because I know you find them even in the hardest times! <3
I think that ‘acceptance’ allows us to truly relax kind lady. No more of the niggles of life and just flow with it. Glad to see your heart renewed kind lady 🤗❤️🙏
Thanks, Mark 🙂 Sending wishes of love and light to you on this fine day!
Yes, that’s the one 🤣 And my pleasure kind lady ❤️🙏
Oh Lorrie, I’m still having issues with my site. I wrote a comment on here and it went ‘poof’ again 🤣
When I finally reached that place of understanding within I realised, as you did, that each and every step was exactly as it needed to be to realise ‘us’. Its a powerfull journey but in reaching it I finally ‘let go of it all’, and just accepted me and everything around me. Glad to hear your arriving there too kind lady. Welcome home! 🤗❤️🙏
Hi Mark…I did receive another comment and just responded…maybe it’s the one that went ‘poof?’
Thanks for the Welcome Home! It sure does feel like home <3
Hi Lorrie, yes life marches on. It leads us up and down, takes us on detours and somehow we end up back exactly where we’re meant to be. Such a journey.
Beautiful verse and reflections my friend and I’m so happy to hear you continuing down this path of self discovery and remembering. I feel as though I’m on a similar path. Wishing you continued happiness and peace. 🥰 xx
Hi Miriam! So, so nice to hear your beautiful soul! And to know that you, too, have this peaceful feeling! It’s quite amazing actually. To move from regret, sadness, and blame to love, light, and responsibility is such a powerful energy. Life feels clear. It’s not without struggles, but I am different which makes the struggles bearable. Sending lots of love and light your way. I’ve missed you! <3
So much here, Lorrie. I often find myself grieving for a past I imagine might have been different, or a self that could have been. I try to remember that everything unfolded just as it must, and is, in its imperfection and loss, perfect.
Hi Michael! Yes…the grief. And, it’s true. We absolutely made choices along the way that changed the trajectory of our lives. I guess the thing about growing older is we tend to look back more. But I find that while I used to look back with sadness, I can now look back with love. The beautiful thing is that enables me to look at my current life with the same love. Ah! Just a beautiful love fest 😉
Hope you are well my friend <3
I agree with Brad. It’s good to have your voice here! 💖🫶
I think I am living the life I am called here to live, and to its fullest every single day. ❤️🔥
Ka! I’ve missed you <3
Reading your words strums my heart with a beautiful melody! To have that resonance and harmony is incredible!! Yes...here's to living the life we came here to live...and living it to the fullest each day.
All good things...
I’ve been playing my guitar every day, Lorrie!
Oh my goodness, Ka!! That is WONDERFUL!!! So happy to hear that. I have a vision of you doing so…and enjoying it sooooo much!! <3
