Merry Go Round

Merry go round

Until we go down

Spinning top

Boring a hole in the ground

Throwing pieces

Pieces that were me

But I’m not sure if they fit anymore

Ripped to the side

The side of reality

The side that was a dream

Or a nightmare

Merry go round

Until we go down

Spinning top

Boring a hole in my heart

Rip away the façade

The shell I used to protect me

But in reality

It only hid me from what’s good

Shoot me straight up

Burst into the stars

Flying free

Being me

Merry go round

Forever I’m bound

To the truth of my soul

To the beauty of my journey

To the peace in my heart

    1. Yes! Sue…it can be quite a ride full of brain altering dizziness!! I am so grateful for all I learn…and I know that we have many others on this “ride!” May we all “rise up” and join together…for we are stronger united than alone! Have a beautiful weekend Sue. Thank you for your wonderful soul! ❀ ❀

I have doing this a lot lately because I just love how many different feelings your words can make my head, drift into! Magical! ❀
This one caught my attention the most because merry-go-rounds are always so fascinating, right? The way you've used it is exquisite! When i read "Boring a hole in the ground" I literally felt goosebumps! Such was the feeling, really. It's so exhilarating to almost experience the transition from melancholy to the resonance of calmness in – "Burst into the stars Orbit Flying free Being me Serenity".
Wow wow wow wow, I'm truly honoured to meet such poets as yourself, my friend. ❀
    Peace and prayers. πŸ™‚
