I’m not sure I have ever
heard that kind of silence before
I stood and I looked over
God’s creations
And I felt love
the purest kind of love
And the sounds
of
NOTHING
entered my ears
And it reached into my soul
And it pulled on strings
that were attached to my heart
And I knew
EVERYTHING
Every wonder
Every person
Every thought
Every hope
Every dream
I felt creation move in my soul
And I knew
we all come from one
And I felt connected
at the base of my very being
And I felt
LOVE
Blessitude

Sometimes, we don’t know what we are missing until we don’t hear it! I am beginning to understand the importance of silence in my life right now. A deafening silence spoke to my heart on a recent trip to Arizona. It seemed so loud…if that is possible. I am exploring with this silence. It seems when I turn down the noise from the outside world, my insides…my heart…my soul…are easier to hear.
I wish you all much love and many blessings on this beautiful Sunday morning. ~Blessitude

<3 Mine beats with yours!
Wow Lorrie! This one reverberates with soul, truth and love. I’ve experienced what you describe, most often in nature when I seem to quiet, relax and merge into oneness with life. The bliss of deep silence. Thanks my dear friend. I’m ready for more silence too. <3
How truly fortunate we are Brad to have experienced this!! Now that I have “heard” this, my soul longs for more! Thank you for your love dear friend <3. I wish you a beautiful Sunday! 🙂
And a peaceful Sunday to you as you carry this blissful silence with you, periodically pausing to breath it in, again and again. 🙂 blessings my dear
Dear Brad…this response is like a poem!! It spoke directly to my heart <3
Great! That was the intent. 🙂
Powerful!!!! Thank you!!
Oh, Kirt…I’m so happy this one spoke to you! I’ve a feeling you know what I am speaking of 😉 Many blessings to you my friend! <3
This is excellent. The silence in it just speaks so deeply of that blessed silence and the way we feel it.
Hi Kanzen…Thank you for connecting to this! I’m happy you think I captured that feeling…it was a wonderful blessing to me and I am very passionate about it! I hope all is super in your world <3
Yes, all is super in my world. With this poem, it seems it is super in your world as well. 🙂
I have always loved the grand silence of the high plateau of the Southwest. It is sacred ground.
I feel the power in your words, Michael. This was not the first time I experienced sacred grounds in that area. Perhaps there is something pulling me there…I think it may require more of my presence! Have a beautiful day <3
That kind of silence is so rare these days. We don’t get enough of it. The kind of silence where you can hear the blood rushing through your veins is what so many are afraid of. I too long for it. Beautiful poem.
Yes!! Exactly!! I think I feared it for so long…in that kind of silence you get in touch with what is really going on inside. Perhaps I have healed enough to not fear the silence…Ah!! I wish for you to have a taste of this silence today! <3
“We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn. It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking
Mino…you brought tears to my eyes!! There is such truth in your words…such beautiful wisdom and understanding!! “For silence is pure. Silence is holy!” Yes. Thank you my friend for adding such beauty here. Much love and many blessings to you <3
It is odd I think Lorrie, that we can have moments of something akin to a synaesthesia wherein we ‘hear’ a certain silence, and can ‘see’ what we might describe as an emptiness too. These are merely ways of attempting to convey something that in truth makes no sense on the level of reason, yet on the level of deeper knowledge, makes perfect sense. H <3
Hariod! Yes…it is like we can hear and see NOTHING…yet it is EVERYTHING! ! And in that moment it makes perfect sense 🙂 And in that moment I knew that there was so much to learn in that place. This is all very new to me and I have tried to find this silence again…not successfully…YET…but I will 🙂 Much love to you Hariod! <3
A powerful call to embrace the silence. Thank you Lorrie <3
I wish you that peace dear Val! I’m so happy you stopped by 🙂 <3
Silence reveals the truth and truest of love… so profound and lovely… <3 🙂

Nothing is more alive than silence, my dear friend. I loved sharing in your heartfelt words.
Ah!! I imagine that you can find this silence…can’t you? I think of some of the photos on your blog and I would bet that you have had many moments there riding your horse along the mountain. And that makes me happy…really happy! <3
I’m smiling with you.
In the silence we find our wisdom and our answers. Beautiful reminder Lorrie 🙂 Hope you are well.
