Amongst the sea grapes
The radiant moon did rise
A perfect present
In all her glory
A backdrop of gold and blue
She rose from the edge
In beautiful style
Touching the stars with true love
She lit the night sky
This moon will not be denied!
As I drove over a high bridge last evening, I saw something in the distant eastern sky. It confused me. It was HUGE and vibrant. A ball of golden hue that was never there before.
When I realized it was the moon I couldn’t contain my excitement. Trust me, the cars on either side of me had to think I was nuts. I wished to catch the draw-bridge – something I NEVER DO!! I fumbled for my phone so that I could be ready should the bridge tender give me the gift I desired. How about a red-light? You know, the one I ALWAYS CATCH!!!!
Let me just say, that for the year’s “smallest” moon – the micromoon – this was the largest ball of gold I have EVER SEEN!
I knew I had to get to the beach, so I drove straight ahead to a local hotel that is on the water. They recently changed their parking to valet only, so when I pulled up and did a u-turn – parked my car on the side and jumped out, the attendants also looked at me like I was crazy.
Hoping the gate to the beach would be open (it was) I ran up the boardwalk and when I saw the moon in her glory it took my breath away.
I don’t know why this particular full moon has been following me, but I had to be on that bridge at that one moment in time to see her last night. I’m really happy that I was! The energy feels so big and full of possibilities.
This is a rare event – that I have posted on two consecutive days! Sometimes the moon makes you do crazy things!

Haha, oh Lorrie, now that is following that heart pull from within. I think just being free to do just as you did was a love all its own. I love the pictures and especially the top palm tree with the moon. Venus was still trying to get in on the act and a tiny bright dot was peeking through the palm leaves.

Yes, Mark!! It’s crazy that my little cell phone was able to pick it all up with such clarity! I think I was determined and the phone thought it better go with me 😉
