I ponder what is there in the dark
That prevents my beautiful soul from resting
I wonder what is in my mind that does not allow me to have peaceful sleep
It does not surface and perhaps the idea that there must be something
And my searching for what it is makes me stay awake longer!
So I say a little prayer
Dear Lord
As I lay my head down at the end of the day
May my heart feel free
And ready to express the love that lives inside
May my mind be clear
Because when I examine the day
I know that I hurt none
Helped many
And did the best I could
May I have compassion for all
And withhold judgment in all cases
May the fruits of my labor
Produce all that is good
May I lay my body down to rest
And to repair
And may healing restore my weary bones
Yes, Lord,
May you restore all that is good
All that you have given me
And may my sweet dreams of slumber
Bring a smile to my face.
Blessitude
Lorrie <3

Hi Steve…thanks so much. Hope all is super in your world!!
Hey back, Lorrie! Well, I’m getting back to the blog now, or trying to. I hope you are doing great too!
I don’t know if I told you, but my mother passed away on Feb. 10th. She had a bad fall about a week before which didn’t help. She was in the hospital for 6 days.
Then, just when she seemed to recovering a bit, she went back home and passed 3 days later. They said it was a heart attack, but I suspect it also had something to do with injuries from the fall.
Oh well, either way she is now “perfect” and with her Lord! That’s comforting to all of us who have faith…
Hey, your website is looking great! We’ll be sharing again I’m sure, so you keep up your good work and we’ll see ya around!
TTYL,
Steve
I am so sorry Steve. This is a very strange time…comforting that she has gone home, yet sad as you will miss her. I send my full condolences to you my friend. Take care of yourself…many blessings!
You are so sweet as always, Lorrie. Thank you…I know she now has “Blessitudes” galore with the Lord of all peace and comfort!
Enjoy your day, dear!

Dear Lorrie, it sounds to me that you have peace of mind, may the body and sleep follow. xo Harlon
🙂 Thanks Harlon! It happens infrequently that I can’t sleep…so when it does it seems so weird. Hope all is good with you and that you are actively seeking happiness <3
What a great prayer Lorrie.
I have had many sleepless nights in the past. Mind racing and anxiety about my inability to sleep. I went a good number of years like that.
I hope you’re getting sleep, my friend.
🙂 <3
Hi Staci…so you know these kind of nights… 🙁 I guess it happens because something is on our mind…something is not sitting right with our soul. Well, it seems to me there is never a bad time to say a prayer…so it was time we’ll spent 😉 Many blessings <3
Hi Lorrie… actually, I have some type of problem that hasn’t been totally diagnosed yet. My neurologist believes I have an anxiety disorder (coming from my childhood), but I will be doing some testing with a neuro-psychologist to see about adult ADHD. As for now, I need to take medication every day. If not, I don’t sleep, I’m extremely hyper, I can’t eat slowly, my moods are all over the place. At any rate, I will do the testing and go from there.
Blessing to you, my friend.
🙂 <3
I’m so sorry dear Staci! I am sending you beautiful white healing light…and I will pray for you every day!! I can’t imagine not being able to sleep…it impacts so many things. I hope they find out really soon what is wrong and then they will be able to fix you up…good as new!!! Much love and many blessings to you…may your health and peace of mind be restored <3 <3
Thank you so much Lorrie. You’re so sweet. I actually take medication daily for whatever this is that I have. It seems to work. I sleep now. I’ve been on it since 2004. However, I suffered with the insomnia for years before that. Now that we’ve moved to a much bigger city, my health plan covers a neuro-psychologist. Sooooooo, I’ll finally be able to do the tests.
Thanks again Lorrie, for your beautiful gestures and words.
🙂 <3
Wow, Staci. One night of insomnia and I am a zombie!! My heart goes out to you…but I’m happy you will see a specialist and I will pray and pray that they will help you dear one. I’m so happy you are back…I really missed you 🙂 <3
Awwwww, thank you so much Lorrie. You are sooooo sweet. A true gem.
