THE WAY WE THINK

Everything changes when you know what you want

Clarity…WHAT DO YOU WANT?

I’ve spent most of my life living in the space of, “I know I can do whatever I want to do, I just don’t know what I want.”

And that wasn’t a nice place to live because I always felt like I “should” be doing something…creating something…striving for some goal. I never understood how to figure out what I wanted.

But now, I know exactly what I want. Here, the rubber meets the road. I now have to put up or shut up. All the years of saying I can do anything I want to do, will now either be proved…well, yes…it will be proved!

The thing I know is the way we think completely determines our reality and whether or not we are successful.

Most people don’t get that when we have doubt, we siderail the ultimate goal. When we are not “certain,” we certainly won’t get what we want. When we’re not “really” sure of what it is we do want, what are the chances we can get it?

They say life moves in mysterious ways. I say that’s only true if you are not aware of what you are thinking.

If you are clear in your desires, and you have full awareness of how and what you are thinking, I believe you can achieve whatever it is you dream about.

As we are well into the year 2025, I know that I’ve found my calling. I know that I would love to help women writers who won’t put themselves or their gifts out into the world – women who know deep in their hearts they are hiding even though they have always longed to share the words from their soul.

And I want to…need to…do this because I know this pain personally and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

EVERYTHING CHANGES WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!

My three words of concentration for this new year are:

FOCUS

DISCIPLINE

ENERGY

I’m really excited about this year. I have a renewed energy and focus in my life, and I am willing to make it all happen.

I send you all lots of love and light. I also wish for you to always know what you want, because if you know – you can achieve it!

Blessitude!

    1. Thanks so much, Brad. I appreciate your support and know that uou have felt the same way that I have. There is something magical that happens when you connect to your purpose. Because I know for certain that if you knew what you wanted…you would go after it and achieve it! Sending lots of love and light!

  1. Thank you for this Lorrie 💖… I hear you know what you want for yourself. Kudos… embrace it all and let go of the small fearful part of you, that appears and disappears.
The next step is to absorb it into your being ( not just your thoughts) and then bring it to the world.
You know how much other people will benefit and the power of healing. 💝

    1. Love it, Val…Thank you. And yes…there very recently was a little bit of resistance…but I’m good now. And absorbing it in to my being. Thanks friend…hope all is well with you! 💜

  2. Powerful words Lorrie, and beautifully written kind lady. You have searched for that place of wisdom within you. Experiencing those many parts that this life gives to slowly understand that even in its early days that wisdom is being grown.

I have to admit it has taken me a while to reach that place within. To find that confidence and dare to walk its path. But in everything I have done, I had to feel one side of it all so that I could appreciate the other side too. Only then could I understand and appreciate that love and happiness I had always looked for.

I detect a heart opening my friend, a greater wisdom blooming and that rose of love, your love, now appreciated by all because of what you have discovered. You have found your path kind lady, I bow to the courage, daring and yes, even laughter in touching it in that moment of understanding. Well done 🤗❤️🙏

    1. Hi Mark 🙂
Love your words here (but that;s no different from every other time I read them! ;)) Yes, even in the early days…the wisdom is being grown. In fact, I would say that those early days built the foundation and everything that came after has been placed just so on top of it. It’s funny, but it’s like I had to go through an “unlayering” (is that a word?) Take off piece by piece the things that were on top until I got to the place where it all began.

I have such gratitude. I know that every single moment has been integral in the formation. I know that my heart has been opening, ever surely and it is a powerful feeling.

Thank you for your kind words and the way you SEE. You totally get it…and that is also a powerful feeling…to be seen! Sending lots of love and light and hope that you are well my friend. <3 :)

      1. Going well thank you Lorrie and blessed to see your opening heart for this journey we all take. It is a beauty to see anything blossom kind lady, and you have dared to seek that deeper meaning within you and reap the reward that love is. And yes, un-layering is that removing of those masks we wear, built falsely from many years of fear filtering our journey in the beginning. But like all things we need to see both sides of anything to understand what we don’t want in those experiences, and go beyond them. Much love, light and blessings to you, and that you do dare to go into that light you feel kind lady and believe in you. For through it is a love so profound 🤗❤️🙏

        1. Yes, Mark…I just read your post about the masks…so profound. I remember dancing around the outside of understanding…feeling that I knew of some of these spiritual truths, but unable to voice the words necessary to express what I felt. It feels like the more I uncover, the more the words fall into place, and I have words that I can attach to the feelings!

I know you will understand what I am saying…because I’ve a feeling you were once here. It is a journey. I can look back and feel regret that I didn’t get here sooner…but I also know that everything happens in perfect timing – and I had to go through all of those times to even begin to understand what is happening now.

Thank you for being on the journey and offering a hand…and understanding! Sometimes I am so overwhelmed with love…this is one of those times. A really nice way to start the new week. Thanks Mark! <3

          1. Thank you for sharing your journey too kind lady. No two are the same so expressing them can help many…and me too. And in this I am just a guide post, you must still dare it all my friend or it wouldn’t work. That is its gift as only ‘unconditional’ love is. Take care dear lady, enjoy that love within only you can find 🥰❤️🙏

  3. What an absolutely empowering and inspiring post Lorrie. Your passion and conviction shines through in every word. I LOVE the three words you’ve chosen for this year and believe they can be applied to all aspects of achieving a successful and fulfilling life.

Like you I’ve gone through periods of uncertainty and doubt, however I truly believe we’re put through these life experiences for a reason as it only makes us stronger. We are ALL so powerful, we simply have to believe.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful authenticity. Sending you much love for the best year ever. xx 💗

  4. I am so excited for your calling, Lorrie. You will make such a difference in helping other women put themselves out there. I know that writing was very instrumental in helping me to heal.

I have other passions now, and I totally agree that thinking affects all that we do. For many years, I worked with a hypnotherapist and the first tenant that she taught me was that “thoughts equal feelings.” How we feel is completely affected by how we think.

Wishing you only beautiful things ahead in this new year, my friend!

    1. Ah, Judy. I love your gentle heart and I am so thankful for our connection. I know how instrumental writing was to your healing journey…it was integral to mine, too! And yes, I have a huge passion to help women who blocked and hiding, not only their writing, but themselves!
Our thinking absolutely determines our emotions…and sometimes it’s just as simple as “think a different thought!” But when we are STUCK in our pain, we tend to want to hold on to it. It is all a magnificent journey, and I am happy to be traveling with you.
Sending so much love and light!

    1. Yes, Judy, I know that writing helped you on your healing journey. It is almost like having a conversation with our deepest selves.
I love how passionate you are about your projects…so varied…and so creative and powerful. And you are cracking me up with your one-liners on FB!!! Hahaha
We do create our reality..one thought at a time. Sometimes it’s as easy as simply thinking another thought!!!
I wish you all the best, always! Hope this year is filled with good health, and walking in your passion <3

  6. Peek-A-Boo!

Hello my treasured friend – with you from the beginning and look how far you’ve traveled and grown, I’m so thrilled for you!

I left Florida last July – now in Ohio (don’t ask lol), but I am happy about this move. Thrilled, not quite yet, much to get through, past and done before I can use the word thrilled – and I do feel that I left a strong conscious connection in Florida, but the season of Florida had passed for me long ago and it was time to march on.

So, you want to help women write? Lorie, I’ve been writing since 2nd grade and have had more experience is a plethora of circumstances to share with the world. I ache to write, I started 5-6 books, each one consisting of only the introduction and then I stopped. I would love your help to help me fulfill this lifelong dream – I yearn to share the experiences, stories, muses, ups, downs, wisdom, giddy and light (and more) that’s within me, yet I can’t get it into a cohesive state. Do you still have my email address? Perhaps we can touch base on email, then exchange phone numbers, then dive deep into learning more about what you’re doing, what it entails and how you can help me with my life’s not only dream, but by far a purpose I was anointed before my arrival.

I am SO proud, but moreso THRILLED to see where you where you were when we met and where you are today. You have been missed my lovely friend.
