You did a fine job, truly. I reblogged a haiku just a few moments from a Japanese man who like me, writes what I call “real” haiku….he is a wonderful writer and he always just nails it. When I grow up, I want to write as well as he does!

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound rude when I said “real” haiku. Your haiku hits all the rules and is lovely! I hope you will write more of them because I always enjoy reading them. It is just, sometimes, people think any poem with 5-7-5 is haiku. I work really hard on mine and even if they aren’t that good, I enjoy the hard work and the satisfaction. For your first haiku, you nailed it. 🙂

I was worried that I would offend the art of Haiku because I am a novice. I understand there is much intricacy and nuances…and I love the art form. I think in Haiku all day long…even waking in the middle of the night to write lines down! I am studying…hopefully learning. I hope to make you proud 🙂
