Haiku ~ 12/7/14

Lean into your Faith

Trying times test your resolve

Stand strong in belief

And he said to them, “Why are you troubled?  And why do doubts arise in your hearts?”  LUKE 24:38

It has always been

My needs are taken care of

No need to wonder

    1. Thank you Maniparna! The photo was taken last week…over “The Momma’s” house…just after she was admitted to hospital. It felt like a gift to me at the time…a gentle reminder to believe! Much love <3

    1. Hi Brad! I started to respond earlier today but then the day got crazy. When I saw you in my comments I got a little weepy…every once in a while that just happens and then I get strong again 🙂 Thank you for being a true friend <3

  1. Love your haikus…they remind me of the hymn Great is thy Faithfulness…the last line says “all I have needed, thy hand will provide, great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.” He is faithful 🙂 praying your weekend is a great one!

    1. Thank you Julie!! Wow…what a beautiful praise you have sent to me…I am blown away by the comparison!! As here are my tears which it seems happens with any drop of kindness lately. I truly believe in my words…which is my faith. And I am so grateful for your support! Much love to you <3

    1. Thank you beautiful Mags!! Yes…I know He is here…and I know I can count on Him…even in the darkest times of my life…when I turned away…He was still there…watching over me. I know The Momma is also being looked after…but it is so sad to see her struggling…losing her independence. I am so grateful for your warm heart…I can feel your love!! <3 <3

  2. Lorrie, I love how God takes care of all my needs. Isn’t it funny how we let worry rule us sometimes. It’s so hard not to, isn’t it? Even Peter doubted when Jesus called him to come to him on the water. Peter had just witness him provide for the multitudes with only 5 loaves of bread and two fish. And then the storm came and he cried out, “Lord save me”. The awesome thing is that Jesus saved him, even though he doubted. Unconditional love is his, and he remembers that we are but dust and very weak.
Be strengthened my friend. My you come to know God in a deep and intimate way through these trying times.
    Love and hugs.
    🙂 <3

    1. I appreciate your words so much Staci. And yes, I know that I will be strengthened by His love. It is strange…I don’t think it is “doubt” so to speak…because deep down I KNOW that I have always been taken care of…and that whatever has happened was supposed to happen….I know this. I think it is more when we come from Ego…when we forget our true place in the world and view events from a “self”ish point of view…that is when FEAR creeps in and takes the place of unconditional love…when we think we are ALONE. My wish would be for human kind to come around to this kind of love…for every soul to understand that we are all connected…all one. And that is when we would truly experience Heaven on Earth! Much love to you dear friend, I am so grateful for your love and support!! <3 <3

  3. Lovely post, Lorrie. To doubt is to be human … we all have those moments. To be able to NOT doubt all the time … now that would truly be Heaven on earth!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Thank you Louise!!! Trust is the answer. I stayed up all night a few ago because I really had no idea what to do…I prayed…all night! My prayers were answered…one by one…the next day. The answers fix a problem right now, but require me to have trust that things will be okay in the long run. This is where I need to be “all in” and full of trust!!! Thanks dear Louise 🙂 <3
