“It Was Time For That To End”

picsart_10-24-10-10-03

He said.

She said.

They said.

Everybody scrambles to put together their memories of how it all went down.

Did I remember it all correctly?

If you listen to the other version you wonder if you both shared the same time and space at all!

And then there is a voice of reason.

“It sounds like it was time for that to end.”

Period.

Not an exclamation.

Just a statement.

A statement of truth.

And as my mind tends to wander back into history to sort things out,

to gain clarity,

to understand…

The only thing that requires understanding is…

“It Was Time For That To End.”

Blessitude!

    1. Hi Hariod!! So good to see you, I hope you are well.
Yes, and maybe sometimes it is just as simple as that! No need for endless examination or defending your position, it was just, “Time For That To End!”
Much love and many good thoughts to you, Hariod!

    1. I get it, Michael! I think we have to make the decision with our hearts…and then stick with it. I was fighting the reality in this particular circumstance and when a friend said that sentence I immediately thought, “Yes, that’s correct.”
      Enjoy Fall my friend!

  1. Well, it’s tough when a steep change happens. Interpretation of past events always depends on the interpreter. I find that even painful changes can bring something good into one’s life, especially, when it feels like there’s nothing more to do, and some relationships have to be cut off in order our life could become more peaceful and enjoyable. I also find that events that caused me pain in the past, seem to be not that important after 20 years or so, and the idea of our purpose and destination is way more comprehensible.
Very touching writing which was also very well written, just with the necessary omissions and pauses.

    1. Thank you, Inese πŸ™‚ It has always been hard for me to end relationships…and in a way I can attribute that to the self-abuse I used to dabble in (unknowingly.) There are just times, like you said, that it is necessary for your peace and overall well being. Things become more clear every single day, and even though some things hurt…they are necessary. Many blessings to you as you travel back home. I hope the classes go well (I know they will!!) β™‘β™‘

Its only at the time we wish it to be different. Later, we see that it was simply time to end, and the suffering is released. May we all find this wise perspective as we continue through life’s highs and lows.

    1. Thanks, Val. Perspective is like that isn’t it. You are correct that we can’t always see what is best in the moment. When my friend said that to me I thought, “Hmmm…he’s right!” And somehow it made things easier to put in their compartments. Blessings to you dear Val! β™‘

    1. Yes, Tiny! That’s it exactly! I know there are times we wish things to be different…but it’s not always up to us. So being able to ‘let go and accept’ is paramount. Thanks for your beautiful energy! β™‘

  3. Yeah, sorting it all out can be a never ending circle. I think we are all in different realities – how we all see the world (mirror) differently. One time my best friend and I were watching something we had recorded. We each heard something that was said differently. How often do you have the chance to play back and see who was “right”? Haha. We played it over and over trying to hear what the other heard, and couldn’t do it! One of my mantras over the last couple of years has been, Let Go Sooner. It makes things a bit easier.
Thank you, dear Lorrie for reminding us.
    Much love to you today!!<3

    1. I LOVE IT!!!! “LET GO SOONER”…such sage advice, my friend πŸ™‚ It is amazing how we can see things (and hear) so differently. It can at times make one wonder how we “are all one” when we are so different…but it is these differences that open up a world of opportunity to us…allows us to learn so much more. Thank you, Mary. Your beautiful soul speaks with such clarity! Wishing love an light your way!! β™‘β™‘

  4. Sorry Lorrie for my delay in commenting but I never received this Post notification from WordPress but was wondering why you hadn’t Posted so I checked and found this Post.

As we know Lorrie there is only One Truth and that is God’s and it is unchangeable and never ends.

I would like to share a link with you Lorrie, it is about my Confusion and how it was resolved, I hope you find it informative and helpful.

    Confused- http://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2014/06/16/my-battle-with-confusion/

I was wondering Lorry if you would share with me what is the most Wonderful Truth you have learnt as a Christian and how has it changed your life, perhaps you have a Link where you have shared about this before. Below is some of the Scriptures that comfort me greatly when Life brings Storms and also a Song that continually uplifts me.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

God Bless you greatly dear Lorrie- Christian Love Always – Anne.

    1. Hi Anne…that’s funny you say that as someone else said I am not showing up in their reader….I don’t know…?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, links and scripture (I will read the link after I respond…I didn’t want to forget!!)

Your question is one that has MANY answers for me…and just about all that I have written speaks to this. But the one thing that stands out for me is that I did not know how to love myself, and though I am still learning and hope to always learn, it has changed my life in so many ways…but most importantly it allows me to love all of God’s children…exactly as He does!!

      Pretty good stuff!

      Blessitude…have a wonderful weekend! β™‘

  5. I loved this posting, it came with an entire soundtrack to me, and at the end, I swear I could have heard you snap your fingers and say “no mess, no fuss”. For some reason in my imagination you are saying it with a Southern accent – but if my brain wants to have fun with this, then why not let it. Otherwise, a great post on closure and not lingering in that process but actually “closing”.

    Much love, Harlon

Thanks for the good feeling this morning, my friend. There is something mysterious in the AOL quote that I feel like I know but becomes elusive when I try to put it into words. I like the idea of closure…and of course a whole soundtrack!!! Hehe

I hope that you are surrounded by the energy of love. Many blessings to you….and I said that in my best southern accent ;)!

  6. As painful as endings are.. if they had not meant to end then they would have continued.. All things have purpose even endings of a beautiful friendship or relationship.. It means the ending is allowing for something new to take its place..
Learning to let go and relinquish hold and no longer prolong the hanging of, of the what if’s and buts helps that movement forward. But we are human, and have long been taught to hang onto the past and fear the future of uncertainties..
It took my self a long while to also understand this course of action.. And by no means have I got it down to perfection.. But I am learning with each ending there is always a new beginning.. πŸ™‚

Love to you dearest Lorrie xxx ❀

    1. Thank you, Sue β™‘ My heart is touched by the truth and beauty of your words. I so get it! And I also at this time see why the room was made…and it’s all good. I believe that everything happens exactly the way it is meant to happen and even though endings can be painful, I think that pain subsides over time, especially when we can see the reason/s for it.

Sending you a giant hug and beautiful energy! β™‘
